Job Description
A top federal employer is looking for a QAR to join their team at Mountain Home Air Force Base. The QAR will be responsible for reviewing and overseeing projects onsite, managing construction work, reviewing RFIs and submittals, evaluating pricing for change orders, and inspecting construction activities as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Some responsibilities of the Construction Inspector will include but are not limited to:
• Performing comprehensive inspections of new building construction, renovations, electrical/mechanical systems (HVAC/plumbing), roofing/structural/envelope work, and site/civil/utility improvements.
• Ensuring all phases of construction comply with contract specifications, regulations, and approved plans.
• Reviewing contractor’s quality management and control procedures, construction submittals, project deficiencies, claims and requests for equitable adjustments, technical interpretations of drawings/specifications, contractor’s record of work accomplished, project plans/specs for practicability, and RFIs.
• Attending weekly project meetings and providing feedback and solutions to current project issues.
• Submitting monthly progress reports detailing accomplishments, challenges, and planned activities.

Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of experience within construction
- Must have former hangar construction experience
- CQM certification from the Army Corps of Engineers
