Job Description
We are seeking a mid-level IT Security Administrator to manage and secure user access across a dynamic environment supporting over 3,000 users. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in Active Directory, cybersecurity fundamentals, and user account management, who thrives in a collaborative team and is ready to contribute to an IT organization.
Key Responsibilities:
User Account Management
Create, manage, and disable user accounts
Assign access based on organizational policies and role-based permissions
Access Control & Security
Monitor and respond to unauthorized access attempts (e.g., alerts from NOSC)
Maintain general cybersecurity awareness and support incident response
Directory Services
Administer Active Directory (on-prem and cloud)
Work extensively with Entra ID and network folder/drive permissions
Authentication & Identity Tools
Understand and support SSO via Azure AD (built by server team)
Administer SmartCards using Axiad (PIN resets, lockouts, provisioning)
ITSM & Ticketing
Use ITSM tools to manage service requests and incidents
Maintain average ticket resolution aligned with team metrics
IT Reorganization Support
Participate in restructuring authentication systems across platforms
Support integration with systems like security badge access
Day-to-Day Breakdown:
75% Active Directory administration
15% IT structure reorganization and authentication system integration

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of Active Directory experience provisioning OU containers, folder permissions, leveraging security groups, etc
Experience using SCCM for patching
Strong proficiency in Powershell (minimum 2 years of experience)
Strong documentation skills
Strong communication skills for interactions with users
