Job Description

An employer is looking for a Technical Support Specialist in Oahu, Hawaii, who will possibly be dispatched to other islands as needed (Kona & Maui). This person will be joining the company's corporate Business Technology Support Specialists team and will be responsible for supporting corporate infrastructure and devices remotely and onsite. Overall, this position will do a wide array of tasks, ranging from hands on technical support to serving as the primary coordinator and liaison between Corporate IT, managed service technical teams, and the local customer. They will be assisting in a network modernization project with a recent acquisition and must be able to troubleshoot network connectivity, re IP addressing, and be comfortable working hand in hand with network team. Additionally, they will provide telephone and mobile phone support, including voicemail and account administration and deployment/replacement of equipment. They will be responsible for local printers/copiers/faxes network connectivity, preliminary troubleshooting, toner replacement and coordination of third party on-site support. This position requires someone to be onsite Mon-Fri 8AM to 5PM and may require after hour and around-the-clock support for emergency support calls when needed.

Required Skills & Experience

4-5 years' experience associated with end user technology support and IT related environments

Onsite and remote support experience

Highly proficient at technical troubleshooting of PC desktop and laptop computers, including MS Windows, MS Office and other desktop software

Experience with network modernization, troubleshooting network connectivity, IP Addressing, static IP, static gateway DNS

Must be available for after hour support and weekend on-call support as needed

Experience working with a ticketing system, preferably ServiceNow

Must have HS Diploma
