Job Description
We are seeking a Cyber Learning & Development Consultant to support a growing Cybersecurity Training Services team. This newly created role was established following a team reorganization and will focus heavily on the design, development, delivery, and governance of cybersecurity compliance training programs.
The ideal candidate combines a strong instructional design background with hands-on cybersecurity training experience. This person will serve as the liaison between Cybersecurity subject matter experts and Learning & Development teams, ensuring training content remains relevant, compliant, engaging, and aligned to organizational risk and compliance frameworks.
About the Team
The Cyber Education organization delivers three primary services:
Cybersecurity Simulations
Security Awareness Programs
Cybersecurity Training Services
This position will sit within the Training Services function and focus primarily on compliance-based training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Cybersecurity leadership, compliance stakeholders, and Learning & Development teams to create and maintain cybersecurity training programs.
Manage annual cybersecurity compliance training initiatives and ongoing workforce education programs.
Ensure training content aligns with organizational requirements and regulatory frameworks, including:
PCI-DSS
PII/Data Privacy requirements
Legal and Attorney Guidance requirements
Internal cybersecurity policies and standards
Develop "development-ready" training blueprints and learning requirements for instructional design teams.
Validate cybersecurity content with SMEs and ensure training materials remain current and relevant.
Collaborate with L&D teams to package, publish, and maintain learning content.
Design and facilitate instructor-led training sessions for various audiences across the organization.
Create training roadmaps, learning plans, job aids, facilitator guides, and supporting documentation.
Track training completion, adoption metrics, and compliance reporting.
Map training requirements to compliance frameworks and organizational controls.
Support training governance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work cross-functionally across Cybersecurity, Compliance, Legal, HR, and Learning & Development teams.
Rate: $45.00-$55.00 an hour depending on skills and experience

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Cybersecurity Training, or a related field.
Proven experience developing and delivering compliance-focused training programs.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Experience facilitating instructor-led training sessions and engaging diverse audiences.
Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
Experience working with cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or governance teams.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Required Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with:
Articulate Storyline
Vyond
Experience developing learning content and training materials using modern L&D tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with learning content development workflows and partnering with instructional design teams.
Adobe Suite
Camtasia
AI (Claude, Google Gemini, Co-Pilot)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting cybersecurity awareness, training, or compliance programs.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, security awareness initiatives, and risk management practices.
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks such as:
PCI-DSS
Data privacy and PII protection requirements
Corporate compliance and governance standards
Experience working in large, matrixed enterprise environments.
