Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Print Line Equipment & Process Engineer to support a highly automated manufacturing operation. This individual will serve as a key engineering resource responsible for ensuring print line performance, analyzing manufacturing data, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, enjoys working directly on the manufacturing floor, and thrives in fast-paced production environments where equipment reliability, process performance, and data-driven decision making are critical to success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Support a highly automated screen-printing manufacturing line by troubleshooting equipment and process-related issues.
• Spend approximately 30-50% of time on the production floor monitoring line performance, supporting technicians, and making process/equipment adjustments.
• Analyze machine performance data, MES data, failure trends, alarm history, and production metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize statistical analysis and SPC methodologies to improve process capability, yield, uptime, and overall line performance.
• Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reliability, throughput, quality, and cost reduction.
• Support root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment and process issues.
• Evaluate domestic replacement parts and equipment modifications to improve long-term reliability and maintainability.
• Work with robotics, automation systems, screen-printing equipment, ovens, furnaces, conveyor systems, paste distribution systems, and inspection technologies.
• Develop data-driven recommendations and implement process improvements based on production performance trends.
• Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to keep the line operating efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting automated production equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.
• Experience utilizing manufacturing data to drive process improvements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience making precise equipment or process adjustments.
• Ability to work directly on the production floor and support a highly collaborative manufacturing operation.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Mandarin language skills are preferred but not required
