Job Description

Overview
The Quality Superintendent is responsible for leading and overseeing Quality Assurance Specialists (QAS) across multiple projects, ensuring consistency in quality execution, documentation, and field performance. This role acts as a key bridge between QA teams, field operations, and project leadership, especially within large-scale telecommunications and data center environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and manage Quality Assurance Specialists across assigned projects or scopes
• Distribute workloads based on project needs, technician skillsets, and site demand
• Serve as a primary escalation point for QA issues from field teams, superintendents, and customers
• Ensure consistency in QA/QC processes, documentation, and reporting across all sites
• Present Quality Assurance Plans during project kickoff meetings
• Track and report on QA metrics, including FOKs, BIM issues, and documentation quality
• Lead weekly meetings with department and project leadership to review progress and performance
• Support Project Managers and Department Heads in identifying and defining training needs
• Facilitate and deliver site-level training sessions as needed
• Mentor and develop QA team members on processes, policies, and best practices
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding QA personnel
• Ensure teams are effectively utilizing tools such as ACC and BIM 360
• Drive continuous improvement through KPI tracking, performance monitoring, and process optimization

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in telecommunications, construction, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in QA/QC, quality supervision, or field leadership
• Strong background in fiber installation, testing (OTDR, Fluke), and troubleshooting (high-count fiber needed – 3456 fiber count)
• Experience in large-scale or hyperscale data center environments strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead teams in high-volume builds (hundreds of technicians, 20–30 QA staff)
• Strong understanding of KPIs, quality metrics, and performance reporting
• Experience with construction/project management tools (ACC, BIM 360, or similar)
• Experience handling a large punch-list and site walk throughs
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Additional Details
• Travel required 70-80% (flexibility is critical; per diem provided for travel assignments)
• Role supports large, complex builds, including multi-building/data hall environments
• Must be comfortable working in fast-paced, high-demand project settings
