Job Description
We are seeking an experienced OCM training resource and instructional architect to
support Phase 1 of the SAP TMS initiative. This role will be responsible for end-to-end
instructional design and training delivery for impacted corporate transportation teams,
vendors, and related stakeholder groups. The resource must be able to translate complex
SAP TM processes and custom vendor portal functionality into clear, role-based training
materials and learning experiences.
Scope of Work
The contractor will support training strategy, design, development, implementation,
facilitation, and evaluation for SAP TMS Phase 1. The work includes enablement for a
custom-built vendor portal, SAP TM processes, and related operational workflows. Initial
training will focus on a pilot group of five high-volume vendors and will scale to
approximately 500 vendors over time, including vendor shipping roles and key vendor
contacts.
Internal audiences will include corporate transportation stakeholders such as
transportation planners, analysts, TMCs, Carrier Management, Settlement teams,
leadership, data stewards, and transportation data owners. Training must address the
importance of accurate carrier setup, vendor data, location data, and master data quality
because SAP TM planning and tendering depend heavily on reliable data.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop end-to-end training materials for SAP TMS, including role-based
learning content, quick reference guides, job aids, facilitator materials, and
supporting documentation.
• Partner with OCM, Product, Data, Transportation, IT, and business SMEs to
understand process impacts, system functionality, and stakeholder learning needs.
• Create practical, detailed training content for the custom vendor portal, SAP TM
workflows, vendor readiness, tendering, visibility, exception management, and
related transportation processes.
• Support training for the initial vendor pilot group and help build a scalable
enablement model for broader vendor rollout.
• Develop training that supports corporate transportation users, data stewards,
transportation data owners, settlement teams, leadership, and other impacted
stakeholders.
• Apply instructional design best practices across analysis, design, development,
implementation, delivery, and evaluation.
• Ensure learning materials are clear, accurate, audience-specific, and suitable for
both live and self-service training formats.
• Support training readiness, feedback collection, content refinement, and post
training adoption support during the engagement period.
