Job Description
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Microsoft System Administrator who can join a team and manage and maintain Windows Server environments, keeping systems patched, updated, and running smoothly. A big part of their day involves automating routine tasks with PowerShell or other scripting tools to streamline operations. They will be tasked with handling disaster recovery planning, backups, and storage administration to ensure data is protected and always available. Additionally, they will deploy and support enterprise applications, manage SSO and identity integrations with Active Directory and cloud services, and work with both Azure and VMware to maintain virtual and cloud infrastructure. This individual will keep up with security by monitoring vulnerabilities, applying best practices, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. When issues come up, they will troubleshoot system and performance problems, working with internal teams or vendors as needed, and finally, they will keep documentation up to date and look for ways to improve processes and overall system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of Windows Systems Administration experience
• 5+ years supporting Windows Server 2016, 2019, and/or 2022 environments
• Minimum 3 years supporting enterprise-level IT infrastructure environments
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and backup solutions
• Hands-on experience administering VMware environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)
• Experience managing enterprise storage platforms and storage infrastructure
• Strong Active Directory and Azure Active Directory administration experience
• Experience supporting SSO and identity management platforms
• Knowledge of authentication protocols including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID
Experience troubleshooting enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, and server performance issues
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Microsoft certifications such as: AZ-104, AZ-500, MS-102, MCSE
• VMware certifications: VCP, VCAP
• Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure and migrations
• Experience working with enterprise storage vendors such as: HPE, Dell EMC, Pure Storage
• Knowledge of high availability and failover architectures
• Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and enterprise service management frameworks
• Experience supporting large-scale datacenter operations
Automation and scripting experience (PowerShell preferred)
