Job Description
This role is supporting Insight Global's end client, a community bank that uses FIS Horizon as its core banking system. The bank has both a traditional community banking business and a banking-as-a-service side. They are moving toward Oracle Cloud and need someone who deeply understands FIS Horizon to help define the current-state architecture, document how transactions and data move through Horizon, identify access and extract processes, and help the team understand how that data should flow into Oracle or a financial accounting hub. This is a hands-on SME or architect-level role, not just a general banking operations role. Pay will range from 70-90/hr depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• Hands-on FIS Horizon experience configuring, supporting, or implementing core banking modules (deposits, loans, payments, GL, reporting, customer/account data)
• Direct involvement with Horizon implementations, conversions, upgrades, or system integrations — not just end-user exposure
• Proven ability to explain how Horizon processes transactions end-to-end, including how deposits, loan payments, fees, and interest flow through the system
• Experience mapping current-state architecture, including where data lives, how it moves, and how systems interact with Horizon
• Strong knowledge of data extracts, batch files, reporting tables, or APIs pulling data out of Horizon into downstream systems
• Experience working with GL feeds, reconciliation files, or data feeds from Horizon into accounting, reporting, or data warehouse environments
• Understanding of how operational banking activity translates into accounting outputs (journal entries, balances, reporting structures)
• Experience documenting process flows, system workflows, data lineage, and handoffs across systems
• Background creating control documentation including access controls, user roles, SOPs, audit documentation, or control matrices
• Ability to clearly break down data ownership, access, and flow across Horizon and connected systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience working with Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle Accounting Hub in a financial systems environment
• Exposure to mapping banking transactions into accounting rules, journal entries, or subledger structures
• Experience integrating core banking systems (Horizon or similar) into ERP platforms like Oracle, SAP, Workday, or PeopleSoft
Understanding of chart of accounts mapping, subledger to GL flow, and financial reporting structures in enterprise systems
