Job Description

is seeking a high-performing Sales Area Vice President – Acute Care to drive revenue growth and expand market share across key health systems in the Northeast region.
This role will focus heavily on large, complex IDNs, executing strategic sales initiatives and building long-term partnerships with clinical, supply chain, and executive stakeholders.

• Penn State Health
• RWJ Barnabas Health
• Hackensack Meridian Health
• SUNY Upstate
• Kaleida Health
• Catholic Health Services of Long Island
• Northwell Health
• Stony Brook Medicine
• Select Medical
This position is also responsible for the coordination and leadership of Clinical Specialists and Sales Associates across the assigned region to ensure consistent execution and high-performance delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Regional Leadership
• Achieve and exceed revenue targets within the Northeast territory
• Own and expand relationships across key IDN systems
• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan focused on acute care growth
• Identify new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
Clinical & Value-Based Selling
• Engage clinicians and stakeholders to demonstrate product efficacy and outcomes
• Clearly communicate clinical, operational, and financial value
• Lead product evaluations, conversions, trials, and in-services
• Partner closely with clinical specialists to ensure successful adoption
Stakeholder Engagement
• Build relationships with C-suite leaders, supply chain executives, and value analysis committees
• Navigate complex purchasing structures, including GPOs and distributor private-label dynamics
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, clinical, operations)
Sales Execution
• Manage full sales cycle: prospecting → closing → implementation
• Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions
• Provide accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM tracking
• Coordinate with internal sales and clinical teams for account strategy
Market Intelligence
• Monitor competitors, industry trends, and customer needs
• Provide feedback to leadership on product opportunities and market positioning

$125,000 to $175,000 base with OTE at plan $275,000 - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years of healthcare sales experience within medical products, med-surg, or distribution
• Proven success selling into large IDNs in the Northeast
• Track record of exceeding quota in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments
• Experience navigating:
o Acute care systems
o Supply chain leadership
o Value Analysis Committees (VAC)
o GPOs and distributors
• Strong executive-level relationships within key IDNs and hospital systems
• Clinical acumen with ability to engage clinicians credibly
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
