Job Description

Role Overview
The Insights & Enablement team supports the broader Data Solutions organization by providing visibility into data, workflows, and operational performance. This role is open due to an increasing backlog of dashboards and visualizations and a need for deeper technical Tableau expertise.
This is not a reporting-only role. We are looking for a highly technical Tableau developer who can own end‑to‑end dashboard development—from understanding unstructured data and building SQL logic to designing intuitive, interactive dashboards that support data exploration and executive decision‑making.
The ideal candidate can take a vague problem statement and confidently answer: “Here’s the best way to visualize this.”

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Spend ~60% of time building and enhancing Tableau dashboards (complex, interactive, exploration‑driven)
Partner directly with business stakeholders and operations teams to:

Gather and clarify requirements
Translate KPIs and metrics into meaningful visualizations
Align teams around shared definitions and “one version of the truth”

Write and optimize SQL to support Tableau dashboards, including:

Building underlying data logic
Handling unstructured or messy data
Supporting performance-over-time and YoY variance analysis

Provide insights into data cleanliness, structure, and usability and recommend improvements
Present dashboards and insights to stakeholders with confidence and clarity
Operate independently while supporting a six‑person, all‑FTE team that is currently not deep enough in Tableau expertise

Pay Rate: $55.00- $75.00 an hour depending on skills and experience

Experience working directly with business partners and stakeholders
Ability to design dashboards for data exploration, not static reporting
3+ years of hands‑on Tableau and analytics experience
Comfortable working primarily with product and operational data
Able to work independently without relying heavily on AI‑generated dashboards
Excellent communication and presentation skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Snowflake (preferred) or GCP
Background in B2B or product‑focused companies
Experience with product, supplier, or customer data domains
Strong visual design instincts and creative problem‑solving
