Job Description
An employer is seeking a Customer Service Distribution Agent to support a fast paced logistics and warehouse operation. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams, ensuring the accurate and timely movement of freight and information. The role requires strong attention to detail, a customer first mindset, and the ability to coordinate across warehouse, transportation, and operations teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and eager to become a trusted “go to” resource while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Day-to-Day
• Perform accurate and timely data entry for receiving, shipping, allocation, and inventory
• Generate and manage all paperwork for customer work orders and shipments
• Provide warehouse staff with documentation and instructions for receiving and shipping
• Coordinate special or last minute shipping requests, expediting as needed
• Ensure accurate and timely billing for clients and vendors
• Seal and unseal trailers as required
• Maintain accurate inventory records and post updates in EDMS
• Train and support new team members on processes and procedures
• Maintain current SOPs for each customer account
• Attend client calls and support onboarding or transitions of new business
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Report customer feedback and potential dissatisfaction to management
• Support staffing needs in coordination with onsite staffing and operations leadership
• Contribute to vendor relationship management (e.g., trucking companies)
• Support miscellaneous projects, filing, audits, and research
• Ensure all work complies with company policies, OPS standards, and regulations

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
• Strong customer service mindset with a positive, professional attitude
• Accurate and timely data entry experience
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word
• Fluent in English (written, verbal, and reading)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to meet KPIs and follow operational procedures
• Willingness to complete 52 hours of training annually
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
• Hazardous Materials certification (required)
• Billing certification (required)
• Compliance with internal policies, OPS standards, and external regulations

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Forklift certification (or willingness to be trained)
• Experience working with EDMS or warehouse management systems
• Prior experience in freight, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Experience with inventory management and billing processes
• Proven experience training or onboarding new team members
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert for special requests
• Experience working cross functionally with Transportation and Operations teams
• Strong continuous improvement or process optimization mindset
