Job Description

The Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, competitive cost estimates before work begins. This includes analyzing scope and drawings and calculating labor, material, equipment, and service costs used for bidding, planning, and protecting profitability.
We are not looking for someone who has only worked in one craft. We are looking for estimators with experience across multiple construction or specialty trades.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed estimates using established company guidelines, tools, and policies
• Analyze project scope, requirements, and historical data to determine pricing
• Build and support multimillion dollar bids
• Apply technical judgment and prior field or estimating experience to solve estimating challenges
• Clearly explain assumptions, methodologies, and pricing to internal stakeholders
• Work independently with moderate direction
• Support estimating quality and consistency across the team
• Provide informal guidance to junior or newer team members as needed
• Ensure estimates align with business drivers, customer expectations, and execution plans

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of estimating experience
• Experience across multiple construction crafts, such as:
• Insulation / Mechanical or Thermal Insulation / Lagging
• Industrial Painting / Coatings / Protective Coatings
• IMP (Insulated Metal Panels)
• Scaffolding / Work Access
• Fireproofing (SFRM, intumescent, spray fireproofing)
• Engineering, technical, or construction degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) OR equivalent hands on experience
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas/functions), Outlook, and Word
• Fluent in English
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Comfortable working fully remote
