Job Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the logistics, customer service, IT and general office administration. Working in collaboration with the parent office they are also responsible for ensuring all aspects of financial reporting and HR are in line with company directions.

The key purpose of the role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the business to support and drive its sales activities and as a small business.



MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Oversee the operations and management of a 2000 sq./ft warehouse holding stock to enable a monthly turnover of 1.5-2.5million
Oversee demand planning, stock rotation, forecasting, container shipping, air freight
Working with head of finance to execute all core financial operations and producing monthly financial reports (P&L and Balance Sheet)
Oversee the customer service function of the business, ensuring all standard operating procedures are met and customer KPIs are being hit.
Manage the use of the master company ERP system (EPICOR)
Reporting and accounting as per Group, Company, regulatory and legal requirements including day-to-day accounting functions including, but not limited to, monthly management accounts preparation, annual budget generation and monitoring, payroll, credit control, bank and cash management, ledger control, statutory audit, tax submissions, etc. Generate and report on company KPIs.
Staff performance management, motivation, training, recruitment, and selection for the Operations team.
Work with the General Manger and HR director to execute HR administration and ensure compliance with employment law across the business.
Maintain Approvals and Authority Levels schedule and ensure compliance. Act as Bank signatory and administrator accordingly.
Manage the relationship with the bank, auditors, tax authorities and other external stakeholders.
Audit operational processes to ensure compliance, the correct reporting of data and recommend scope for improvement.
Ensure all facilities, IT, other infrastructure and processes are safe, fit for purpose and efficient, working with external stakeholders as necessary.
Lead the team to ensure a professional, quality and timely service is provided to achieve exceptional customer service.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential
Previous line management experience.
Previous experience with logistics management and demand planning.
Previous experience in HR management and implementation.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous accounting experience and a basic understanding of financial principles and reporting.
