AI Data Architect

Insight Global is seeking a Sr AI Data Architect for a top enterprise client focused on advancing GenAI capabilities at scale. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the enterprise data architecture that powers multiple AI and GenAI solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in ontology development, semantic modeling, and knowledge graph design, with a strong emphasis on scalability and performance. Working closely with Data Science leadership, this architect will help enable data reuse, governance, and richer AI context across the organization—driving real business impact through well-designed, future-proof data foundations.

-Partner with the Director of Data Science to define and evolve the enterprise data architecture for GenAI use cases
-Design and implement ontology and semantic models to enhance data understanding and AI context
-Build and optimize knowledge graphs on top of standardized ontologies
-Establish and govern metadata management and data lineage across data sources
-Enable data reuse across multiple GenAI and analytics solutions
-Ensure architectures are scalable, performant, and enterprise-ready
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, engineering, and business stakeholders

Compensation: $80/hour to $90/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

-Senior-level experience as a Data Architect or AI/Data Platform Architect
-Proven experience building ontologies from the ground up
-Hands-on experience leveraging industry-standard ontologies and adapting them to specific business contexts
-Experience designing and building knowledge graphs on top of ontologies
-Strong understanding of metadata management and data lineage
-Experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures for reuse across multiple use cases
-Focus on scalability and performance of large-scale knowledge graphs
-Experience partnering closely with Data Science or AI leadership

-Experience with GenAI-enabled data architectures
-Background in regulated or standardized domains (e.g., medical, FAA, government)
-Familiarity with semantic modeling, graph databases, and ontology tooling
-Experience supporting multiple AI/ML or GenAI solutions from a shared data foundation
-OEM industry exposure (not required, but beneficial)
