Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Scheduler to support Project Management Office (PMO) operations and capital project initiatives within its natural gas distribution organization. This individual should have a strong background in utility scheduling and maintenance planning to support complex, multi-week, rolling schedules. This role is responsible for proactively developing, maintaining, and adjusting schedules to ensure work is executed on time and in alignment with customer expectations, compliance requirements, safety standards, and operational performance metrics. The Project Scheduler will maintain a holistic view of all planned and in-flight work, quickly respond to status changes, and identify capacity constraints while recommending data-driven solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3-7 years of experience in scheduling/planning in the utility, railroad, or telecom industry .
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Proven experience using software applications including Work Management, Mapping and Scheduling tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate efficiently and promptly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Proven experience creating documentation and process flows for the PM’s, and Project controls.
- Experience responding to status changes.
- Proficiency with SAP and experience building and training on Gantt Chart creation.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Prior experience working in the Utilities Industry (gas, electric, or similar infrastructure).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Prior experience with PowerPlan
- Prior experience with P6 (Primavera P6)
- CAPM / PMP / PMI Certifications
