Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Data Scientist to support Project Management Office (PMO) operations and capital project initiatives within its natural gas distribution organization. This role will partner closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, and administrative teams to support data analysis, reporting, documentation, and performance tracking across the full project lifecycle. This individual will play a key role in collecting, validating, analyzing, and reporting project data, ensuring leadership and stakeholders have accurate, timely insights into project health, risks, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, utility-focused project environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2-4 years applying advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and database management
- Prior experience building dashboards within PowerBI
- Experience supporting project management or PMO environments
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
- Experience working with SAP, SharePoint, or similar enterprise systems
- Experience building or maintaining dashboards and performance reports
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business or related field
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience within utilities or energy, preferably natural gas
- Experience with project or team data management is highly desired
- Familiarity with capital project environments and regulated industries
- Experience supporting KPI frameworks, financial tracking, or project controls
