Job Description

We are currently seeking General Manager two sites for a large agricultural company. The General Manager is the senior site leader responsible for the overall performance, culture, and long‑term sustainability of nitrogen manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Nitrogen Operations, this role is accountable for safety, environmental compliance, production reliability, cost management, and, most critically, people leadership.
This role is not focused on hands‑on technical execution. Instead, it requires a visible, steady, and people‑centric General Manager who leads from the ground, not the office. The successful candidate will be highly present within the plant, consistently engaging with operations and leadership teams to understand current conditions, address challenges in real time, and set clear expectations. A key mandate of this role is strengthening leadership capability and succession planning across the site, an area identified as a critical need.
On a day‑to‑day basis, the General Manager monitors site performance, safety culture, and operational risk by being “boots on the ground,” ensuring alignment between corporate priorities and site execution. They establish performance standards, optimize organizational culture, and progress maturity across maintenance, planning and scheduling, asset integrity, and operating discipline. The role requires calm, composed leadership during periods of operational or organizational stress, with the ability to stabilize situations and guide teams through change.
In accomplishing this work, the General Manager builds trust between corporate and operations, brings people together across functions, and creates an environment where leaders are developed, teams are engaged, and results are delivered safely and sustainably. We have two full‑time opportunities available: one in Borger, Texas, and another in Augusta, Georgia. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to one of these locations.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.
