Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Controls Engineer in Warner Robins, GA for one of their government clients. This individual will be a direct hire employee and will be working on site 5 days a week. This person will be designing, troubleshooting, and supporting PLC/HMI/SCADA systems while configuring and securing industrial networks and core OT infrastructure. This person will be leading system upgrades, integrations, lifecycle management, and root cause analysis, ensuring compliance with OT cybersecurity standards. The role also includes maintaining clear technical documentation, supporting cybersecurity initiatives, and training plant personnel on control system operation and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience with industrial control systems and OT networks, including PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware)
Ability to work with OT logic and programming (Binary, Ladder Logic)
Familiarity with OT cybersecurity standards and practices (NIST, ISA/IEC 62443)
Experience with control network architecture, segmentation, and firewall implementation
Knowledge of virtualization technologies used in OT environments (VMware, Hyper V, AWS)
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, or related field

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certifications: ISA/IEC 62443, GICSP, CISSP (OT focus)
Additional depth in OT cybersecurity or emerging OT technologies
