Job Description
As a User Research & Consumer Analytics Specialist, you will lead user research initiatives and consumer analytics efforts to uncover insights that inform UX/UI design strategies. Your primary focus will be on partnering closely with the UX and UI teams to identify opportunities for conversion rate optimization (CRO), ultimately improving user satisfaction, retention, and business outcomes. This role requires a blend of qualitative and quantitative research skills, with an emphasis on translating data into actionable recommendations for product and design improvements.
Compensation:
$60/hr to $68/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive user research studies, including usability testing, surveys, interviews, and ethnographic research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
Analyze consumer data from various sources (e.g., web analytics, A/B testing tools, customer feedback) to identify trends and insights that impact conversion funnels.
Collaborate with UX and UI designers to integrate research findings into wireframes, prototypes, and final designs, ensuring user-centric solutions.
Design and execute CRO experiments, such as A/B and multivariate tests, to optimize key metrics like click-through rates, bounce rates, and conversion rates.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track user engagement, segmentation, and performance metrics, using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar.
Present research findings and analytics insights to cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to influence decision-making.
Stay updated on industry best practices in user research, consumer analytics, and CRO, and recommend innovative methods to enhance our processes.
Ensure ethical research practices, including data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and inclusive representation in user studies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree
3+, ideally 5+ years of experience in user research, consumer analytics, or a similar role, with proven expertise in CRO.
Strong proficiency in qualitative research methods (e.g., user interviews, focus groups) and quantitative analysis (e.g., statistical modeling, data visualization).
Experience partnering with UX/UI teams in agile environments, with a portfolio demonstrating impact on design and conversion outcomes.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, Optimizely, SurveyMonkey, or equivalent for research and analytics.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling stories for non-technical audiences.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for user-centered design.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Preferred Skills
Certification in UX Research or Analytics (e.g., Google Analytics Certification, Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification).
Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or digital product environments where CRO is critical.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for data querying and analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.
