$100k - $130k (estimate)

Job Description

Produce and check structural design calculations and drawings

Multi-task and prioritize multiple project assignments to meet tight project commitment dates

Effectively communicate with Supervisor, project team and Plant contacts

Develop scope and man-hour estimate for assigned projects

Coordinate design activities with other disciplines

Provide schedule and staffing input for projects

Prepare cost estimates and material takeoffs

Provide engineering support to Plants and to Construction throughout all phases of the project

Some non-extended travel to construction sites and client locations is required

Required Skills & Experience

Detailed knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry methodologies

High level of initiative and the ability to effectively plan, organize and execute multiple projects

Working knowledge of Plant facilities and projects for heavy industrial structures and components

Proficiency with structural codes and standards such as ACI 318, AISC 9 th , 13 th , 14 th and/or 15 th Edition, ASCE 7 and IBC

Experience using design software and computer programs such as STAAD PRO, Ansys, Navisworks, AutoCAD, SP Mats, etc.

Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships is a must

Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
