Job Description
We are seeking a highly technical and hands-on “Lead AI Engineer” to drive the integration of Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into our core Line-of-Business (LOB) applications. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of AI feature delivery—from crafting best-in-class prompts and designing autonomous agents to ensuring secure, performant, and reliable deployment within mission-critical enterprise systems. The ideal candidate blends deep expertise in advanced prompting with a robust background in professional software design and integration.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and orchestrate autonomous, multi-step AI agents that can reason, plan, and execute actions by calling internal LOB tools, APIs and RAG systems for accurate, context-aware responses.
• Lead the development and deployment MCP servers to integrate with API endpoints anddata sources.
• Implement robust MLOps practices for prompt and agent version control, automated testing, continuous monitoring, and drift detection within production environments.
• Develop and execute rigorous, data-driven evaluation methodologies (e.g., A/B testing, LLM-as-a-Judge, human-in-the-loop validation) to quantify the business impact and quality of AI outputs.
• Serve as the domain expert for LLMs and agents, mentoring engineering and product teams on the art and science of integrating generative AI into software products.
Pay Rate: 50-52/hr.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years in software engineering or ML engineering, with a minimum of 2+ years focused specifically on Large Language Models (LLMs), advanced prompt engineering and experience integrating and deploying code/APIs.
• Expert-level programming proficiency in Python/Java and solid experience with modern LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Transformers).
• Deep understanding of transformer models, various prompting techniques (chaining, reflection), and core agentic concepts (planning, tool use, memory).
• Experience with vector databases and building efficient data pipelines for RAG.
