Job Description
An employer is looking for a District Trade Compliance Manager to join their Savannah team!
Promote Compliance Culture: Foster a positive, solutions-oriented compliance environment across branches and lead by example in aligning Trade Compliance with customer service and business success.
Deliver and Assess Training: Conduct at least 50% of annual Trade Compliance training, assess staff knowledge, and escalate any deficiencies to the RTCM.
Monitor and Report Compliance: Run regular import/export compliance reports, implement preventive controls, and report anomalies or non-compliance issues per escalation procedures.
Remediate and Escalate Issues: Follow company protocols to resolve non-compliance, support remediation plans, and keep leadership informed of updates and regulatory changes.
Stay Current and Educate: Remain up to date on Trade Compliance laws and regulations, prioritize training on emerging issues, and serve as a resource for staff and leadership.
Support Customer Engagement: Participate in branch and sales meetings to promote Trade Compliance as a strategic differentiator and educate service providers on compliance expectations.

Required Skills & Experience
-Advanced experience in trade compliance and demonstrated understanding of applicable Trade compliance laws and regulations
-Customs Broker License
-Strong import experience
-Training for Sanctioned and Embargoed Countries, Denied Party Screening, and Export Controls Awareness, under U.S. law and the laws of other jurisdictions that have implemented U.N. Sanctions
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Already passing score on the IATA/FIATA examination
