Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Jira Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize our Atlassian Jira environment. This role will support cross-functional teams by ensuring Jira is tailored to meet business needs, enabling efficient project tracking, reporting, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management
• Confluence would be great for documentation
• Knowledge of Jira service manager
• Create and manage custom workflows, fields, screens, permissions, and schemes.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports for various teams.
• Manage user access, roles, and group permissions.
• Perform regular audits and clean-ups of Jira projects and configurations.
• Provide training and support to users and teams on Jira best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Stay current with Atlassian product updates and recommend improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience administering Jira and Confluence in a professional environment.
• Strong understanding of Jira workflows, permission schemes, and automation.
• Experienced in configuring SSO, MFA, and user provisioning with Atlassian Guard to secure Jira and Atlassian Cloud environments
• Ability to lead assessment and cleanup efforts, manage sunset activities, and provide strategic advisory on future-state planning.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Jira Cloud and/or Data Center environments.
• Familiarity with ITSM practices and Jira Service Management.
• Experience with Jira plugins/add-ons (e.g., ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, BigPicture).
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs and scripting (e.g., Groovy, Python, or Bash)
• Certified Jira Administrator (ACP-120 or similar).
