Job Description

A client in the Midtown/Atlanta area is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their Office IT team. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility is to support employees and contractors with their technology needs, including PCs, Office 365, and basic hardware/software troubleshooting.

• Provide front-line support to users via walk-ins, calls, emails, and chat.
• Assist with onboarding tasks such as setting up new hires and temporary staff.
• Help manage user accounts, devices, and permissions using Microsoft tools.
• Support laptop and mobile device setup and configuration.
• Troubleshoot common issues with VPN, Office 365 apps, and desktop environments.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure devices meet compliance standards.
• Document support procedures and update internal knowledge base.
• Collaborate with senior team members on small projects and process improvements.
• Be flexible and willing to assist with general IT tasks as needed.

Rate: 25-28/HR based on experience

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ year of experience in IT support or help desk roles.
• Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Willingness to learn and grow in areas like Azure, Intune, and scripting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to Haves:
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure or Intune.
• Basic PowerShell knowledge.
• Experience with virtual desktops or remote support tools
