Job Description
Application Architects have primary responsibility for design, build, testing, validation, and ongoing support of clinical applications. They are responsible for obtaining and maintain in-depth knowledge of the software functionality, and acquiring knowledge of the clinical/business workflows to be implemented on the system. Jointly with each other and with the department representatives, they design a future-state workflow and build the system to support the new workflow. They work with each other in workgroups, and across interdisciplinary workgroups, to accomplish these goals as a team.

Required Skills & Experience
• Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or equivalent education, training and/or experience
• 5-7 years as an Application Architect is ideal
• 3-5 years’ experience providing analytical support of administrative and clinical applications in a large health system
• 3-5 years’ experience implementing advanced clinical applications that cross multiple disciplines
• Ability to deal with a number of tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail, with advanced knowledge of database design, system integration, and operational process flow
• Communicate effectively with technical team as well as managers and end users - both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
• Strong organizational skills
• Possesses an understanding of EMR system capabilities to address process requirements
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Local to Atlanta
• Experience with Pyxis is ideal
• Willow certified and/or experienced. In and Out patient experience highly preferred
• Beacon certified and/or experienced
