Job Description
The Sr. Clinical Informaticist will support the mission and vision of Hospital to be the leading public academic healthcare system the in United States. Will promote best practice workflows organization-wide and drive efficiency through the adoption of clinical information systems. Will serve as an advocate for clinicians regarding information technology initiatives. Will lead and participate in the implementation of technologies within clinical workflows. Will perform advance application analysis, minor Epic configuration changes, Epic build testing, documentation of Epic changes, and training support for clinicians. Effectively works as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to identify solutions to improve efficiency and the delivery of safe patient care. Serves as a resource for multiple clinical applications utilized for clinical workflows.

Required Skills & Experience
-Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Informatics or other clinical disciplines is required
-Based on specialty area, at least 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist, PharmD, preferably in an acute care or Ambulatory setting required.
-A minimum of 2 years of clinical Informatics experience required
-Experience with large, diverse projects including planning, facilitating, and implementation is required.
-Current Georgia licensure as a Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapist or PharmD required.
-Epic proficiency or certification in relevant setting or more modules
-Maintains specific Vendor related application certifications required.
-Ability to adapt to new or changing environments; strong critical thinking skills required.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Master’s Degree in Informatics, Nursing, or other clinical discipline preferred.
