Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MDM Analyst to support our client’s data management, governance, and product operations initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance across the organization, with a strong focus on backend data processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, a solid understanding of data quality principles, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Product Support
• Clean and maintain master data across suppliers, customers, and product records.
• Validate and collect product attributes and digital assets (e.g., images, content).
• Support de-duplication efforts and ensure high data quality across ~160k SKUs.
• Monitor and improve data flows and integrations across systems.
• Collaborate with product management to align on data priorities and structure.
Data Governance
• Contribute to the development and enforcement of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Maintain metadata repositories and data dictionaries.
• Adapt to evolving data hierarchies and governance frameworks.
Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Create dashboards and reports to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis.
Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with IT, business analysts, financial operations, and data stewards.
• Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams to divide workload and strategize.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Engage with IT teams using tools like Jira to track tickets and participate in scrum processes.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems).
• 3+ years of experience with master data management (MDM) practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Power Query).
• Experience or working knowledge of Power BI; willingness to learn and grow in BI tools.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Comfortable working in backend data roles with minimal presentation responsibilities.
• Background in CPG, wholesale, or goods industries preferred.
