Job Title: Shift Lead
Location: Onsite in Atlanta, GA 30336
Job Type: 3 month contract to hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm
Interview Process: 1 and done onsite


Insight Global is seeking a Shift Lead to support operations at our client’s facility in Atlanta, GA, which processes and stores paper products for the recycling industry. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Position Overview

As a Shift Lead, you will oversee daily operations during your designated shift, supervise a small team, and ensure production quality and efficiency. You’ll be responsible for delegating tasks, maintaining equipment operability, and reporting issues to management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and productivity.


Key Responsibilities

- Lead by example in a hands-on role to drive productivity
- Supervise and assign duties to a team of 2 employees
- Monitor team performance and ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Report operational issues to management promptly
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Oversee preventive maintenance (PM) checks
- Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts) to move materials
- Understand and execute the daily production schedule
- Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality
- Troubleshoot equipment and escalate issues as needed
- Assist with material movement and forklift operations when necessary
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of forklift experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed preferred)
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Mechanical and maintenance experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving mindset and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, reaching, kneeling, and climbing

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Compensation: $19-21/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
