The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and analyzing transactions. This role requires hands-on accounting experience, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.
Job Description
Perform month-end close procedures including recording journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
Analyze financial results to understand and explain variances to forecast and budget.
Create and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Support the creation of financial reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with the annual external audit by preparing workpapers and actioning audit requests.
Support efforts to strengthen cross-functional relationships for business alignment.
Assist in the preparation of the company's annual budget, working with various departments to set targets and allocate resources effectively.
Identify technology and automation opportunities to drive efficiency.
Establish and improve internal control processes to enhance compliance and safeguard company assets.

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.
Experience with general ledger reconciliations, month-end close, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in Excel, including working with large datasets, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
Experience with ERP systems (Sage preferred but not required).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred- is a plus
Big 4 experience is a plus.
ASC 606 revenue recognition and lease accounting (ASC 842) experience is a plus.
