Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician with MicroStation experience to support engineering and design projects within the utilities sector. The ideal candidate will create and modify technical drawings, collaborate with engineers, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings using MicroStation for utility infrastructure projects.

Interpret and translate engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations into detailed technical drawings.

Ensure all drawings comply with industry regulations, utility standards, and company guidelines.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to support design and development processes.

Maintain and organize digital drawing files and documentation.

Assist in creating bill of materials and parts lists.

Participate in design reviews and provide technical input.

Troubleshoot and resolve CAD-related issues.

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (preferred).

2+ years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably within the utilities or infrastructure industry.

Proficiency in MicroStation (V8i or CONNECT Edition).

Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, or other CAD software is a plus.

Strong understanding of utility infrastructure, electrical or civil engineering principles.

Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
