Job Description

A well-established, 70-year-old worldwide custom manufacturing company is seeking a Assembly & Plastic Welding Machinist for permanent placement in in Arvada, CO on Day shift. The Assembly & Welding Machinist will play a crucial role in a cross functional team that is responsible for the final assembly of industrial manufactured products including Lathe, component assembly, plastic welding, and inspection. They may also be involved with process improvement processes, particularly for plastic welding. The parts being worked on weekly can be a little repetitive (100-200 piece orders) but with a large variety of processes (Magnets, Machining, and plastic welding). Candidates will need to maintain high productivity, perform inspections, ensure safety, and work well in a small team.

Advancement Opportunities: The position offers room for advancement within the company. Salaries are based on performance and experience. Optional overtime is available on weekends and holidays, and the opportunity to cross train into other positions. Employees are eligible for health and dental benefits on day one and can take advantage of a 401K with a 60% match up to 6% and tuition reimbursement for continued education. PTO includes 80 hours, plus 48 hours sick leave and 14 holidays per calendar year.

Required Skills & Experience

High School diploma, GED, or trade school

1-2+ years' experience with CNC Lathe

Mechanical Aptitude or experience with assembly using blueprints or part diagrams

High understanding of troubleshooting mechanical problems - can be in personal life

Experience with Plastic Welding heavily preferred

Basic Computer skills (Calendar, Emails, creating and formatting documents)

Able to lift 35LBS

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Centrifugal pump/compressor experience

Working experience with machine drawings, blueprints
