Insight Global is looking for an experienced Driller II or Driller III for a national Engineering Consulting company in Georgia. This individual will be a part of the Exploration Team and a part of a crew of 2-3 other technicians. This individual will be leading a team in performing subsurface exploration duties using conventional drilling or in-situ testing techniques. Drill methods may include; auger drilling, mud rotary drilling, and diamond bit coring techniques. In-situ testing techniques would primarily include cone penetration testing (CPT) and standard penetration testing (SPT). Daily tasks include: survey and locate drilling points; conduct site reconnaissance; load/unload tooling, materials and samples; classify soil and rock samples; perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on drilling equipment, prepare internal (daily field forms) and external (DOT Logs) paperwork. This individual will be highly trained on the job with machinery/best practices specific to Terracon. Individual should be prepared for very occasional overnight travel.
