Job Description

We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Data Architect to spearhead our organizations data modernization efforts. This pivotal role involves designing and implementing robust, scalable and secure data architecture that aligns with our business objectives and supports advanced analytics, enable AI/ML capabilities and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise and leadership skills to transform our data landscape especially in the context of integrating diverse data systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in enterprise data architecture, with demonstrated success in architecting large-scale, mission-critical data systems.
At least 3 years in data architecture leadership capacity, directly driving data modernization and transformation initiatives across complex enterprise environments, including data integrations and legacy system retirement.
Proven track record delivering cloud-first data strategies that have significantly enhanced scalability, data access, performance and governance.
Deep, hand-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including but not limited to Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
Mastery of data modelling tools (e.g. Datagrip, Lucidchart, ER Studio, ERwin etc.)
Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern big data technologies such as Apache Spark.
Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL), as well as ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming frameworks and data integration tools.
Experience with data cataloging frameworks and tooling (e.g. Azure Purview (good to have) and Unity Catalog).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Relevant certifications such as cloud platform certifications are a plus.
