An insurance client of Insight Global is looking for 3 UI/UX Designers to join their team supporting the self-service customer facing responsive web platform. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of UI/UX Design experience, proficiency with Figma, excellent responsive web design, front end knowledge of HTML and CSS, microanimation and illustrations exposure, and UX user journey centric mindset. The UX/UI Designer is responsible for creating and implementing designs that make human-computer interactions intuitive, accessible, adaptive, consistent, and relevant to the task performed. The designer must ensure that the design of a system satisfies the functionality required by the user and considers the emotions a functionality will invoke. The pay rate ranges based off location and years of experience between $15-35/hour.
Primary Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for translating a product's optimal functionality requirements into interactive and visually creative solutions.
The candidate will incorporate market research and psychology, design the human-computer interface for optimal effectiveness, include easily navigable content, and deliver high-quality visual/information designs for maximum, pixel-perfect aesthetic appeal.
The UX/UI Designer will participate in the discovery, design, development, and deployment processes of the software delivery lifecycle market and user research, creating journey maps, site maps, personas, wireframes, hi-fi interface designs, information architecture, validating assumptions using usability testing, and supporting front-end development.
Experience working on B2B, B2B2C, and D2C platforms for the web, enterprise applications, software that leverage emergent technologies, consumer appliances, and mobile devices
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills is a must as the role requires active collaboration with product owners, UX peers, developers, business stakeholders, and corporate brand marketing
Facilitate design thinking workshops as needed to support the overall product UX roadmap and vision
Leverages metrics, qualitative, and quantitative research to validate design decisions and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders and clients
Participate in or lead client progress meetings by reporting results, making recommendations, and assisting clients in understanding strategies developed that aid in strategic decisions
You're a great storyteller - verbally, visually, in writing, and behaviorally. You can generate and communicate your research, conceptual ideas, attractive designs, and design rationale; all within a structured user-centered design process
You are a natural problem solver with the ability to successfully juggle multiple demands, prioritize multiple concurrent UX/UI initiatives across multiple teams, deliver under tight timelines, and adapt to change

Bachelors degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), communications or equivalent professional experience as an interactive/user experience designer
5+ years of relevant UX/UI design experience, interaction design, information architecture, software/web design, or similar role.
Demonstrable expertise in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe CS/CC, or Axure
Experience designing responsive user experiences accessible on any device (e.g., desktop computers, tablets, mobile phones, etc.)
Working knowledge ADA accessibility standards
Experience in executing moderated and unmoderated user testing phases to encourage a data-driven design approach. Familiarity with
Attention to detail and passion for best-in-class visual designs
A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience creating great user-centered design solutions that have moved the needle commercially or in terms of customer satisfaction.
Basic knowledge of essential front-end technologies - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like bootstrap and Google Material Design is a plus.
Experience working in collaborative teams including developers to implement designs
Comprehensive understanding of the current state of web technologies and best practices
Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture, and design
Ability to define patterns and advocate for consistency without repressing inspiration or inhibiting innovation
Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
Experience with agile/scrum
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations
You bring a strong work ethic, a relentless focus on the customer, demonstrated experience delivering the needs of the business, an unencumbered mind and experience designing simple and intuitive interfaces for complex applications across multiple sectors (e-commerce, retail, SaaS, B2B, B2C) and devices - desktop, tablet, mobile (web & apps)

Experience with A/B Testing and Impression Testing is a plus
