A client of Insight is seeking a Techno-Functional Payroll Tax Professional with the skills to help the company. This person will be very analytical, have a proven background in process improvement, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to marry process & systems. They will be in charge of overseeing pall payroll tax functions and helping to run weekly payroll for the companies 3,000+ employees. Knowledge of SAP Success Factors, SAP Employee Central Payroll, and UKG Dimensions are necessary to succeeding in the job.
Immediate Tasks that need to be handled include:
Perform a detailed assessment of US Payroll Tax compliance and current state.
Represent to work and resolve tax notices and compliance notifications, working with ADP tax vendor and regulatory agencies as needed.
Perform payroll tax reconciliations and other analyses as needed to support the above.
Once 100%, document payroll tax processes to remain compliant.
Ongoing Tasks they will be responsible for:
o Perform US PR tax reconciliation, reporting and analysis every pay period, monthly, qtrly, annually.
o Assist with running weekly payroll for the 3,000+ employees across multiple states & countries
o Partner with SSB corporate tax and finance on initiatives, projects, inquiries, etc., providing guidance and reporting from a payroll tax perspective.
o Provide support with the SSB transition from ADP to Alight for payroll tax service vendor.
o Provide ongoing payroll tax support for a small Canada population with single legal entity.
o Manage year-end payroll tax statement generation (W2s, T4s, W2PR, etc.)
o Prepares reports and presents findings and recommendations to key stakeholder leadership. Generates reports/queries, including writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate writing tools. Assists in development of standard and custom reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Establishes and maintains custom reporting for various end-users.

8+ years of experience in payroll tax for US company with over 3,000 employees across multiple states and Canada
o SME in UI/Withholding at Fed / State / Local
o Exp w/ EOY W2 Filings
o Exp w/ EOY T4 Filings
5+ Years of Experience w/ SAP Payroll AND Employee Central Payroll (ECP). Must be proficient with the following:
o Integration with BSI TaxFactory
o Tax & Wage Type Reporting (940, 941, state & local reports, etc.)
o Infotyping
o Assigning Tax Authorities
o Customizing Tax Rules & modules for unique situations.
Self Starter who is comfortable operating in a gray area.
Experienced working with regulatory agencies to resolve notices and support audits.
Candidate's need to have an analytical personality, capable of problem solving
Able to work independently w/ little oversight
Expert Communication skills and ability to present to high level stakeholders.
Nice to have:
prior experience assisting clients with migration to different payroll tax service vendor.
Experience working with UKG Dimensions
