The Mechanical Engineer will oversee predictive/preventive maintenance programs at multiple power generation plants throughout Georgia. General responsibilities include:
Planning equipment outages
Coordinating the design, selection, and installation of major new equipment and systems.
Oversee the predictive/preventive maintenance programs at power generation plants
Review and monitor annual mechanical inspections at facilities
Serve as technical expert in mechanical engineering and predictive and preventive maintenance.
Design of new plant systems or modifications to existing plant systems
Planning, budgeting, and performance analysis of facilities
Review of drawings, specifications, design memoranda, etc., to generation projects in development or under construction.
Assist with the development and execution of capital projects.

Bachelors degree in engineering or engineering technology (preferably BSME)
Technical and business knowledge of generating plant operations, performance, and economics.
10+ years minimum experience related to engineering and preventive and predictive maintenance in an operating commercial electric power generating plant
Experience planning, budgeting, preventive and predictive maintenance, and maintenance analysis.
Professional Engineering (PE) license - required within one year of date of hire
Level II Vibration Analyst certification desired
