Our client is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join their team. This person will be the ONLY DBA on staff, the sole the sole contributor to this skill and will need to be comfortable meeting with stakeholders and executives and own getting all data services to reliable state. They should be comfortable being asked why things went wrong and work well under pressure. They are in the middle of migrating to Azure (they are about 50% the way there on their cloud journey) but they still have a lot of legacy on prem servers they want to migrate. This person will need to have strong experience with cloud migrations to azure. Other responsibilities will include: Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Servers, databases, and related components, implement and manage database security, user permissions, roles, and access controls, develop and implement roadmaps for migrating on-premise SQL Server solutions to cloud-native services. This role can pay anywhere from 150-160K depending on experience level.

10+ Years as a DBA, and the HM is big on growth in the DBA role (wants to see from JR DBA to DBA to SR DBA etc)
5 Years experience as an enterprise SQL Server DBA
Strong experience migrating SQL Server HA Architecture to highly available enterprise-scale Azure native SQL database services in production
- They need very strong experience with HA (High-availability architecture, will want this person to evaluate, provide recommendations etc)
Azure SQL Service experience platform as a service, native azure environments
At least 2 years supporting Windows failover cluster-based Always-on HA Architecture production
3+ years experience supporting Enterprise data warehouse environments
Experience migrating legacy on prem servers to Azure
