Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic IT Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a technical professional responsible for traveling to client sites to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, network equipment, and related software. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT infrastructure while providing exceptional on-site technical support to resolve issues as they arise. The IT Field Engineer acts as a vital bridge between the company and its clients, managing and servicing IT equipment at customer locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Installation and Configuration:
o Set up and configure new hardware and software systems at client sites, including servers, network devices, workstations, and peripherals.
o Cable installation, proper cable management, routing, and patching.
2. Troubleshooting and Repair:
o Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
o Identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions.
3. Maintenance and Upgrades:
o Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure system reliability.
o Apply software updates and upgrade systems to maintain optimal performance and security.
4. Customer Support:
o Provide technical assistance to clients on-site, over the phone, or via remote access.
o Address client inquiries and resolve technical problems efficiently.
5. Performance Monitoring:
o Monitor system health and performance metrics.
o Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, configurations, and client interactions.
o Ensure proper documentation of technical procedures and resolutions.
7. Compliance and Security:
o Ensure adherence to company and industry security standards.
o Comply with data privacy regulations and IT best practices.
