The Vice President of Project Management - Client Conversions is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the project management framework, processes, practices, artifacts and tooling utilized to execute client conversion projects. This leader is accountable for driving the successful transition of legacy systems to modern, scalable platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, and optimizing the performance of new systems. They play a pivotal leadership role executing against a portfolio of projects that must deliver within financial budgets and finite schedules to meet the business goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish a governance framework and model to oversee and manage a portfolio of client conversion projects from inception through their successful completion.
* Act as the Process owner for the Implementation Standard Operating procedures and partner with other Process Owners, where appropriate, in the establishment and oversight of new procedures to address areas requiring improvement
* Develop and operationalize a comprehensive project management discipline to execute conversion projects with a high- touch client experience.
* Executive Sponsor and Champion on behalf of the client(s) throughout the project/conversion lifecycle.
* Produce, report and communicate key project metrics/performance indicators that reflect the health of project deliverables, risks and constraints.
* Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement, implementing necessary changes
* Drive decision making to manage conflicting priorities and to forecast and allocate shared resources across the portfolio to optimize execution.
* Create a cadence of executive and stakeholder project portfolio reviews to present progress, identify risks, and make necessary adjustments.
* Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of project managers.
* Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across organizations to ensure alignment, accountability and execution for project deliverables.
* Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify potential risks, issues, and obstacles during the conversion process and develop mitigation plans. Resolve critical problems that may arise during conversion.
