- Analyze reporting requirements to determine development methods, development templates, and to determine job scheduling.
- Build the enterprise data warehouse using complex transformations that come from many different systems.
- Develop ETL jobs that satisfy identified data model.
- Provide guidance in the administration of the Datastage ETL tool including developing best practices of development, administering security, developing job scheduling and monitoring techniques, all other system responsibility including creating, configuring and applying patch, creating projects, credential mapping, creating users, changing passwords, start stop application activities.
- Work with other development units in developing best practices for ETL development for the organization. Support ETL Developers in development and troubleshooting data issues.
- Monitor nightly loads and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Maintain technical support documentation

- Hands on experience in IBM DataStage ETL design, Development, & Build, and in AMINISTERING THE ETL TOOL.
- Experience in Project lifecycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects.
- Experience in developing best practices and reviewing work of other ETL developers.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux, files systems, shell scripting
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Understanding of databases/ data marts/ data warehouses and complex SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience with Oracle 11gR2, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
- Proficient with automated data modeling tools like Erwin, Hyperion, Business Objects, Cognos, MS Excel
- SQL, PL/SQL, Linux
- Must possess a good understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.
- Ability to work independently, but is also a team player with ability to lead a team of ETL developers.
