Job Description

A Pacific Northwest Utility is looking for a CAD Drafter to work remotely. This person will be taking and be assigned work from a cue to support natural gas projects and be responsible for working on 4-6 CAD design projects per day. Their assignments will be received from the Project Managers and Engineers. From there, they will need to complete the base mapping, design, and overall establishment of a safely designed work environment for Traffic Control to operate onsite on projects. Required Skills & Experience

Must-haves
1+ year of CAD drafting experience in a previous professional role
Experience with natural gas design
Ability to quickly learn a customized AutoCAD interface
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
Strong intangible skills and ability to communicate effectively in person or over video calls with team members
Comfortable working from home and training over video calls

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working at a utility or electric company
Direct Traffic Control design experience
CAD certification
Construction or carpentry experience
Can develop tool profiles, palettes, and can build things out on AutoCAD
Architectural design experience
GIS experience
Graphic design experience
Experience working with permitting departments
