Overall responsibility and management for transportation operations in assigned region.
Review, address, and resolve all issues with Loads in Transit LIT report.
Daily basis, review all late LH load emails for your region. Follow up on all late LH loads that have not delivered and keep all pertinent parties updated and ensure the LH delivers to receiving DC. After late LH load(s) have delivered then determine root cause, solution, and if any action is needed to ensure on-time delivery for all future LH loads.
Daily late load coding via Transportation Dashboard. Late load coding for IB, STO/Transfers, and LH.
Address any current or potential transportation operations issues that will affect successful pickup and deliveries.
Ensuring all loads have been accepted by carriers (LH, IB, Transfers/STOs).
Check regional inbox consistently throughout the day and respond to all inquiries and follow up on any items that are needed ensure your region is running efficiently with out any transportation operations disruptions.
All emails to your personal work email and assigned regional inbox must be reviewed and addressed before leaving for the day.
Escalate to the appropriate Sr. Transportation Analyst for any current or potential critical issues that you need their assistance on to address and resolve. These issues would pertain to anything that affects transportation operations within your region or another region within the network.
Review, address, and resolve any supplier, carrier, or DC issues affecting transportation operations.
o IB and outbounds issues from DCs.
Proper carrier alignment.
o Ensuring trailer pools are being maintained.
Work with carriers to help resolve any systems issues occurring with TMS (Mercury Gate and Blue Jay).
Work with Freight Pay team for resolution if there are any payment issues to carriers that could impact load coverage and service.
o Rate change requests.
o Making sure all loads are closed out LIT report.
o Accessorial approvals.
Other responsibilities:
Ensure correct Inbound routing and current LH uploaders are being utilized.
Upon internal requests update SAP add freight / add route.
Oversee direct to customer delivery setups.
Coordination of onboarding calls between DCs and Carriers.
Assist in covering an analysts region if they are out for the day(s) or extended period.
Participate in any projects, implementations, or analysis regarding your assigned region.
Run all critical reports assigned, example, daily IFC report.
Participate in the TMS testing, training, trouble shooting, assisting with implementation, etc.
Addressing any DC arranged outbound compliance issues. Example, using correct LTL carriers and small parcel pickup issues.
Addressing any vendor compliance issues. Example, inputting correct cubes, weights, etc. to ensure successful pickups.
Transportation Dashboard - reviewing items around OTP, OTD, Transit time, Spot Quotes, etc.
