-Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation
-Provides recommendations and ideas to the technical documentation team, project leads, and management on best work practices, workflow, presentation, structure and organization of materials by developing new work processes and methods.
-Analyze Enterprise System requirements to determine types of documents needed.
-Collaborate with project teams (DevOps, Security, DataOps, Business Analyst and Operations) to collect and interpret technical information.
-Research technical concepts to fully understand product and proposes content to the teams.
-Develop technical design documents, architecture documents, infrastructure document, network documents, security documents and develops policy and procedures
-Edit written documentation developed by other team members for consistency.
-Maintain and update existing documentation with new content.
-Meets with technical team and managers to learn about specific project needs.
-Supports technical team with developing diagrams for documents and briefings.
Compensation is based on education and years of relevant work experience to this specific role. around $40-60/hour.

- 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of technical writing experience.
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly as well as translate these concepts into text and diagrams.
- Ability to see all tasks through to completion, consistently, with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work along side a highly technical team to describe technical concepts with a high degree of independence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
-Expertise in Adobe products, Microsoft Office tools (Word, PPT, Excel) and draw.io
-Expertise in markup languages such as LaTeX and Markdown
-Experience with writing tools such as Pandoc
-Ability to work under time pressures
-Ability to respond to changing priorities
-Strong experience owning an end-to-end documentation creation process
-Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
-Ability to facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops with project teams and sponsors
-Active security clearance
