Insight Global is seeking a DCS Engineer to support a specialty polymer manufacturing client in Augusta, GA, specifically for the battery plant expansion. The engineer will be brought on to own and develop the DCS System and network, particularly Emerson DeltaV. The role involves promoting advanced control schemes to enhance automation, quality, and production capacity while reducing manual intervention. Responsibilities include developing troubleshooting strategies, optimizing equipment effectiveness, and collaborating with process engineers to improve yields and energy efficiency. The engineer will also coach personnel on control strategies, generate new control projects, and maintain the site control system hardware and software, particularly Emerson DeltaV. Proficiency in process control algorithms, classical control theory, signal processing, and simulation tools is required. This role requires travel to the site in Augusta and as the project deems, travel to the Greenville, SC facility. The current team is made up of 3 DCS Engineers.

Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering / Engineering / Electrical Engineering
Engineering 5 years of experience working as a Process Control Engineer with experience in a Distributive Control Systems (Delta V, or Yokogawa).
Ability to write and maintain various scripting languages and develop S88 compliant batch programs is desirable.
DCS configuration and control skill level with developing configuration and programming for new processes and control strategies
Experience working in a Chemical Manufacturing/ Refinery environment
