While not a technical position, knowledge of web applications is required. The position is centered around Quality Assurance of content before it goes on the company websites. Candidate will provide analysis, design and execution of testing, and assist in the quality assurance effort for the websites. Candidate will be responsible for detecting and testing defects and fielding problems to the appropriate business teams (ie. technical, marketing, creative). This is a service oriented role and relationship with team members and cross communication is very important. - Measure and monitor quality data and recommend solutions to improve the site's performance for internal and external customers - Analyze search phrasing for appropriate results- Analyze category relationships and product content for appropriate information and results- Analyze customer comments for trends and actionable items- Validate contents of site to weekly marketing calendar - Log and track actionable items in Test Director defect tool - Communicate defects to appropriate owner - Provide management with weekly status reports - Escalate to management those issues not resolved in expected time frame - Attend business operations meetings and appropriate team meetings to discuss planning, strategy and priorities. - Scour website continuously for defects and poor user experiences - Recommend changes to site based on improved user experience and corporate sales - 3+ years of working knowledge of web applications, service oriented architecture/web services, and client/server technology testing. - Proficient with MS Office - Proven ability to build relationships - Act as a business quality resource for online marketing and creative team when testing expertise or scoping is requested across domains
