Job Description

This Lead Data Engineer will be coming on board to one of the largest health systems in Georgia. They are seeing an individual to be a permanent employee to help accelerate the ingestion of the source data into Snowflake. This resource will be joining a team of 7 individuals to help accelerate the cloud data platfrom migration. This individual will be instrumental in building a pipeline from data sources and helping leverage the Clarity and Caboodle database / datawarehouse into Snowflake. This person will need to have a BI Mindset and be willing to do pipeline development as well as extensive data modeling. Soft skills wil be key as driving true business value . The Lead Data Engineer is responsible for overseeing junior data engineering activities and aiding in building the business' data collection systems and processing pipelines. This includes ensuring that data services securely and seamlessly integrate with other data platform technologies or application services for example: Azure Cognitive Services, Microsoft Customer Insights, or Dynamics365. You will be responsible for building and maintaining optimized and highly available data pipelines across on-premises and in the cloud that facilitate deeper analysis and reporting by the Data and Analytics teams. The Senior Data Engineer builds data processing frameworks that handle the business's growing database. Senior Data Engineer works with senior data science leadership as well as other Data and Analytics teams in leveraging data with reporting and scientific tools, for example.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years experience with the following technologies:

- Database systems (SQL and NoSQL), Data warehousing solutions, ELT and ETL tools

o 5Tran for low code tooling specific to developing data pipeline -- there is no CICD development

- Proficiency with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, Java, Scala, or C#)

- Cloud Computing

o Azure

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Healthcare experience

o Familiar with Epic EMR

o Familiar with Clinical Data

- Experience with Machine learning

- Experience with Data APIs

- Experience with DataWarehouse and DataLake concepts
