Job Description

A National Retail and Food chain, headquartered in the Atlanta, GA area is hiring for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financial and Operations Functional Business Analyst Consultant



As part of our Transformation effort at The Company, the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) Functional Business Analyst Consultant will have experience in implementing and maintaining Dynamics 365 business solutions. This self-motivated individual is expected to interact with business stakeholders, other development leads, platform analysts, QE resources, and members of the senior leadership team, as appropriate. This role works closely with cross-functional teams and insures the daily tasks of the platform and integrations is operation properly. This person will also possess the ability to take leadership for key initiatives and produce conceptual and logical architectures to meet strategic business, financial, and technological objectives through prototyping concepts and documentation of work flows. This role will be critical to establishing a world class ERP at HBH and establishing our go forward platform to enable our long range plan. This role will comprehend data integration and 365 extensions needed for HBH and work with our partners/vendors to integrate them into the platform.



We are in the middle of our implementation journey with D365 and we are using an implementation partner to assist. We are looking for a tech/functional/consultant that will partner with IT and the business side to help with Functional documentation and Tech documentation related to F&O connection. We would like a candidate that can share more about what F&O can do once it is fully set up. The IT team is currently setting up functionality for inventory and purchase orders. We are needing this new team member to provide financial capabilities knowledge to build and document a functional solution so that the technical teams can implement those functionalities.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* We are needing this new team member to provide financial capabilities knowledge to build and document a functional solution so that the technical teams can implement those functionalities. This includes gathering requirements and offering suggestions and solutions.

* Provide technical and functional support for Microsoft Dynamics F&O in production and non-production environment

* Maintain and enhance different modules including AR, AP, GL, Inventory Management, Cost Accounting, Warehouse Management, Procurement and Sourcing modules.

* Prepare functional requirements by analyzing current workflows to improve the quality and efficiency of the application.

* Author business flows and technical documentation, assess technical feasibility, analyzes business workflow and configuration needs.

* Manage D365 system itself and help accounting team when problems come up. For example if the system is down. Or a ticket that asks for help doing something. Another example is: an escalation like the accounting end user not being able to create an invoice import. This individual would possibly even do some accounting to see where the problem might be for the user.

* We want all users to report tickets in ServiceNow

* Checks daily operations and make sure the D365 system itself is running properly

* Have meetings with accounting teams and find pain points that we can solve. Come up with ideas and suggestions on what fixes and what might need help.

* Responsible for D365 user setup and security configurations

* Liaison with system partners and vendors to ensure optimal platform use

* Work with development, DBA, information security, network, operations, and product management teams to design and implement new solutions as appropriate

* Creates production change request documentation for Change Authorization Board's (CAB) review.

* Coordinate business requirement gathering, build process and workflows, and testing efforts for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

* Defines and develops automated test plan documentation and scripts to support system validation and/or User Acceptance Testing.

* Conducts gap analysis and uses analytical skills to identify root cause and assist with problem management.

* Prepares high level user documentation and training materials.

* Training new users, communicate any training like system navigation or accounting level type stuff.

* Participate in data governance process for accuracy and quality of data related to Item Master.

* Some small development would be involved for example form modifications.

* About 30% security, 30% end user support, 40% other

* This role will not have primary involvement in releases

Required Skills & Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* AX2012 functional business analyst experience

* Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.

* 3-5+ years of experience in full software development and ERP systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience with MSFT SQL Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience required (3 years)

* Experience upgrading D365 F&O environments.

* Must have experience from the accounting perspective, for instance how the accounting and financial teams use the tool

* Understand American finance processes and systems, preferably in a small company.

* Strong understanding of a check processing run, Accounts receivable and Accounts payable. Additionally understanding of how settlements work

* Experience in creating requirements specifications based on Functionality/ Detailing of ERP Business Processes.

* Experience with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and related Microsoft tools such as Power Pivot

* Understanding of requirement gathering and testing of web-based applications and SaaS services.

* the Power Suite / Power Platform (Power Apps, Logic Apps, Power BI, DMF (Data Management Framework), and Power Automate

* Logic Apps experience (if not an expert, we can train)

* Ability to work independently as well as within a team

* Good verbal and written communication skills

* Understanding of LCS (Life Cycle Services) and Azure DevOps.

* Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, etc.

* Knowledge in web services XML, Azure Platforms (Azure SQL, Data Lake, Data Factory), SharePoint, and Power BI.

* Ability to do a Select Statement in a database and a looping statement.

* Experience with Excel Template Maker

* Knowledge of how D365 works out of the box without many customizations

* Microsoft Certification in MB-300, MB-310 (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant) or MB-500

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

PLUS:

* Any experience in a CPA (accounting) role

* Power FX experience -- Power FX is a low-code programming language to integrate with Dynamics 365

* Power BI reporting experience, or any other reporting tools

* Experience with Docentric AX Designer or Docentric AX Framework plug-ins

* Experience with Treasury Automation Suite with D365

* Any experience with ServiceNow

* Ability to share best practices in F&O
