Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client with a search for a Business Systems Analyst for a hybrid 6+ month contract, possible permanent hire opportunity North of the Atlanta, GA area. This is a new role due to growth and will focus on being the liaison between developers and the business stakeholders, which are insurance industry specific leaders to assist with development capabilities for optimal, user-centric solutions. Which includes premium accounting, claims, policy, underwriting, and compliance groups to assist in improving their processes from a technological standpoint. The BSA will gather business requirements for the design, development, and implementation of technical applications that support the organizations technology needs. They will analyze and document current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements for greater efficiency and user experience. This includes the use of tools to create designs and propose mockups to educate leadership and the business throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge in completing SDLC projects, has functioned in an Agile environment, has experience process mapping, and able to take ownership when it comes to advising stakeholders on customized solutions. All responsibilities listed below:



* Interview stakeholders to capture requirements for new and enhanced systems.

* Analize existing business processes to diagram core processes essential for optimal systems

* Identify gaps in current processes and areas needing greater efficiency.

* Diagram processes that capture the flow of data for each major component of the system

* Identify calculations and data needs for each component and the various system functions

* Gain familiarity with insurance industry, TMHCC operations, and technology practices/systems to optimally serve the project.

* Drive efficient project collaboration by brokering communication between technical teams and customers.

* Establish key internal and external customer business relationships to gather information and keep key players abreast of updates

* Facilitate project meetings for requirements elaboration.

* Grow as subject-matter expert (SME) for appointed applications and systems.

* Follow business analyst best practices.

* Provide input and recommendations to leadership related to business priorities.

* Balance multiple projects at a time by demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.

* Own responsibility for on-time, on-budget project delivery.

* Prepare needs assessments and perform preliminary cost benefit analysis to align business needs and initiatives.

* Consult with business users to identify current business operating procedures and to clarify system objectives.

* Document business user processes and requirements for coding systems or programs including the data sources to be utilized.

* Assist application development and QA teams in system acceptance testing and troubleshooting.

* Work with IT BAs and technical writers to utilize standard templates and comply to document storage and distribution guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience

* 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst

* Project focus of new product development or replacing a legacy system with a modern system

* Strong technical knowledge, specifically with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

* Has functioned in an Agile environment

* Experience Process Mapping

* Able to take ownership of process

* Passion for understanding needs of stakeholders and providing customized solutions

* Actuarial or underwriting knowledge

* Insurance / Financial institution industry

* Automation or AI solutions
