Responsible to perform required readings (i.e. annual test points, isolated services, casings, bonds, foreign crossings) in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
Responsible for timely cathodic protection troubleshooting (i.e. low systems, shorted conditions)
Responsible for timely creation of remediation work orders (i.e. install anodes, clear short, install insulator, repair/replace test station). Follows through with necessary departments to ensure timely completion.
Responsible for maintenance and updates of corrosion control mapping systems (Atlas pages/GIS) in a timely fashion
Responsible for performance of QA checks on reads performed by others
Responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of rectifiers
Responsible for calibrating half-cells in accordance with procedures
Responsible for bridge inspections (exposed) crossings in accordance with procedures
Responsible for design of cathodic protection systems
Monitor corrosion control records to ensure compliance
Provides relevant support/inspection for cathodic protection needs on engineering/construction projects
Provides corrosion control-related support to Integrity Management Departments as needed
Generates reports as needed
Assists with implementation of accelerated actions (DIMP) and additional Preventive and Mitigative measures (TRIMP)
Accurately enters compliance records into the appropriate system of record in a timely fashion
Participates as needed in regulatory audits to ensure success
3 years pipeline cathodic protection/corrosion control
Associate degree technical/trade school with math or science-based curriculum OR high school diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Drivers License
Ability to read and understand codes, standards, and procedures
Knowledge of electrical principles intermediate proficiency
Mathematics aptitude intermediate proficiency
Intermediate cathodic protection troubleshooting skills
Basic CP design skills
MS Office intermediate proficiency
